A Glimpse into the Experience

Nestled in the bustling Nakasu‑Kawabata area—just a few minutes from Nakasu‑Kawabata Station—Kirin is beloved for it’s deeply flavorful yet clean Tonkotsu ramen, poured to the brim with piping hot broth that fills the bowl to the edge.

They offer three core styles: pork bone (tonkotsu) ramen, soy sauce ramen, and tsukemen, each crafted with its own distinct broth and noodle pairing. The tonkotsu version is often praised as “close to perfect” by ramen connoisseurs.

Here are other highlights:

  • The broth is lovingly stirred every 15 minutes over a strong flame to keep its rich flavor and prevent burning.
  • Order from a ticket machine at the entrance; it’s cash only.
  • Free bean-sprout kimchi, pork miso, garlic, red pickled ginger, and ramen seasoning are available at the table for customization.
